1. Scope
This policy applies to fees paid for access to the Atelier Book platform. It does not govern deposits, appointment charges or refunds for services independently offered by businesses using Atelier Book. Those businesses are responsible for their own customer refund policies.
2. Payment provider
Paddle processes Atelier Book subscription purchases as Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payment collection, applicable transaction taxes, invoices and approved refunds under the Paddle Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.
3. Free trials
A payment method may be collected when a free trial begins, but no subscription fee is due until the date shown at checkout. To avoid the first charge, cancellation must be completed before the trial ends. A free trial is normally limited to one per business or customer, and reactivated subscriptions may be charged immediately.
4. Subscription cancellation
A subscription may be cancelled through the Atelier Book billing page and Paddle customer portal. Unless the confirmation screen states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing or trial period. Access normally continues until that date, and no further renewal charge is made afterward.
Cancelling a subscription does not automatically refund charges already paid or create a prorated refund for unused time.
5. Refund eligibility
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, completed transactions are generally non-refundable. Paddle may approve a full or partial refund at its discretion, including where a timely request identifies a duplicate charge, billing error, material technical defect or other appropriate circumstance.
Mandatory consumer withdrawal and refund rights always apply. The available period and conditions vary by country and may include special rights for the first subscription payment or certain annual renewals.
6. Technical problems
If a material technical problem prevents access to paid features, contact support with relevant details so the issue can be investigated. If the issue cannot be resolved, Paddle may provide a replacement, full refund or partial refund where required by law or appropriate under its policy.
7. How to request a refund
- Use the Manage subscription link on the Atelier Book billing page.
- Use the receipt or subscription-management link in the Paddle confirmation email.
- Visit Paddle Buyer Support and select the refund-support option.
Include the transaction email, order reference, request reason and relevant evidence. Eligible refunds are normally returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on approval, payment method and financial institution.
8. Fraud and chargebacks
Refunds may be declined where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse or manipulation. Customers should contact Paddle before filing a chargeback so billing errors or unauthorized transactions can be investigated without unnecessary delay.
9. Effect of a refund
When a subscription transaction is refunded, access to the related paid service may end immediately or be adjusted to reflect the refunded amount, except where applicable law requires another outcome.
10. Policy updates
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the service, applicable law or Paddle's buyer policies. The version in effect when a transaction occurs may apply to that transaction.
